When I was competing hard for Irish Dance, my dad would get up in the morning with me every day, and help me with my dancing and training out in the garage. During that time, he started his own fitness training at CrossFit. One morning I was sharing with my dad that my teachers were telling our dance class that none of us were fit enough. That’s when we started applying Cross Training principles to Irish Dance workouts. After a few months of this, I was the fittest dancer in our studio – and the idea of Irish Dance Athlete was born! After all, we are not just dancers – we are athletes!
The principles of Irish Dance Athlete are simple. Each day, we release a “Workout of the Day” or WOD. Do the workouts we publish, challenge yourself to do them at the highest intensity that you can! In just 6 weeks you will start to see a dramatic improvement in your fitness, and your dancing will improve too!
Why does our program work? It’s simple really. Take any competitive athlete, and watch how they train. ALL ATHLETES cross train. What we have done is combine proven principles of cross training with Irish Dance movements, to make you a better version of you!
